Health Alliance International has been affiliated with the University of Washington since its inception in 1987. We have worked with many schools and departments, and are now affiliated with the Department of Global Health. This relationship enables us to contribute to and learn from the latest best practices and innovations in global health.
Our programs benefit from the expertise of our staff, many of whom are also university faculty. We can also draw on the knowledge of our colleagues in the School of Public Health, and the nine other centers that are part of the Department of Global Health: Global Health Resource Center (GHRC), International Training and Education Center on HIV (I-TECH), Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), International Clinical Research Center (ICRC), Center for Health And the Global Environment (CHANGE), Global Center for Integrated Health of Woman, Adolescents and Children (Global WACh), Kenya Research and Training Center, Strategic Analysis, Research & Training (START) Center. We also work with talented graduate students who support our program work in the field and at headquarters.
